The cod was hot and crispy, but tasted like nothing. No salt or spices. Is it supposed to be that way? Chips were great.

Used to come here with my parents over 40 years ago, not alot has changed apart from there is now no restaurant now. But still great grub will be visiting again tonight before we go fossil hunting on Bracklesham Beach

We had about a 15 min wait on a Friday night, but I think that was a good thing as the fish was definitely very freshly cooked. A busy fish and chip shop with a waiting crowd is always a good sign in my book! Lovely fish and chips. We all enjoyed them and I couldn’t get enough of the curry sauce!

The best fish and chips I've had ! I had Haddock, chips, a pickled onion, mushy peas and currey sauce. Yes it was greedy but so good !
Quality fish & chips, really tasty.
Great fish and chips - we've been here once, and then ate on a windy beach. Food was tasty - quite a queue for food, but worth the wait
LOVE there fish and chips. Not too greay and delicious. As it is cooked fresh you do have to wait...but its worth it.

If you go to Bracklesham bay this to me is the place to be. You place your order and wait outside for your number to be called. We did try Billy's but we could not get in. I noticed a lot of people had tried this restaurant but could not get in. They went to Moby's and sat on the other side from Billy's and ate the takeaway which we thoroughly enjoyed.- Service

Great fish and chip shop, able to cope with high demand quickly and efficiently. Perfect for ordering and eating on the beach.
Lovely fish and chips. We were there 7.30pm on a Saturday night and service was fast. In and out in 15 minutes. Chips were good. Haddock nice and crispy. Five minute walk to the seafront!
We stopped off at Moby’s to get haddock and small portion chips x4 today to take to our friends who live locally and recommended it. Best fish and chips I’ve had in a long, long time. The small portion of chips is still huge. The chips were crunchy on the outside and soft fluffy inside. The fish was fresh, the batter crisp and all non-greasy. Highly recommended.

Moby's has been a very special place for fish and chips for a good many years, in fact we have been using them ourselves since 1984. At one point they has a restaurant next door which was equally excellent but to keep their products more reasonably priced they decided to concentrate on a take out service only.
Today they continue to operate very successfully but for optimum service is is always best to call and place your order in advance. Just turning up at the restaurant, especially during the summer months could lead to a long wait.
As far as their products are concerned, they are top class. They try to maintain their prices but have to rely on market forces which can make it necessary to reduce fish sizes. Even so there is a choice of 3 fish sizes and the biggest size is quite adequate for two portions.
Without going into more detail all I can add is that although I haven't sampled all the similar shops in the country, in my view the place that comes close to Moby's for products and service is
in Tasmania. Please don't make detrimental comments based on on a single poor experience. There are other options but most local people will agree that Moby's provide perfectly acceptable good value food and service. So you don't really need to head off to Tasmania to get anything close!
